Voices of Longing

Steel and galvanized mesh, 72”x96”x48” (large) Voices of Longing is an installation of three wire-mesh bird-figures that soar through a local-history museum in Pawling, NY.  The sequence of varied sizes was created for an annual exhibit of embedded artwork curated by Bibiana Huang Matheis; the birds fly up from a Natural History "Bird Room" downstairs, past portraits of Quaker town founders, and head for Dutchess County countryside out the door.
