Collaboration

Collaborative art projects start with a community, theme, and location. The group prepares by looking at examples of this thoughtful approach to site-specific sculpture. We brainstorm visual images, subjects, and a process meaningful to the place. We explore sites and local materials and available found objects, which also speak to the people and history of the region. Then we build forms together, learning about techniques, structure, teamwork, and public engagement.
